Mission Accomplished!

Welcome home Tio Nate!!!!!

I seriously can not believe how fast two years flew by. It really seems like yesterday that Nathan left for Mexico and he has already been home for three months. We were so exited to have him come home. I had been especially trying to get the kids exited and we had even made a count down board (pictured below).

The day of, I set the kids to work on a poster with the help of Tia Alaynah. She wrote on in it and then we let the kids color as much as they wanted.
It turned out so freaking cute!
His plane didn't land until 6:30 PM so I didn't think I would have to take the day off work since I only work until 5 anyway and I can work for the car, but I was so busy all the day, 5 rolled around and the kids and I were still not ready and I was still on the phone! I told Spencer he should just go with his parents and I would take the kids and go as quickly as we could (they left a 4:30 because they were worried about rush hour traffic). That was probably the most stressful car ride of my life. Early on I covered the clock on my dashboard because I was freaking out that we would miss it and looking at the time was making it worse. Right as we were getting off the highway at the airport the Little Guy said "Look Mom, there's Tio Nate's plane!" sure enough, there was the big DELTA on the side so I called Grandma Julie and told her we thought we might have just seen the plane land and she checked the board right as it switched to "Landed"! The Little Guy is so smart! It was a mad dash through the airport with the kids and I. Thankfully, it was not too busy so we were able to run... well... all the stress was for nothing because it took Nate about an hour to get off the plane and through customs... I really hope I never have to run through an airport again, I don't think my heart can take it. At least I got some pictures in, I guess
this is the count down I had made for Julie and kids
This is just the raw video. I am hoping to make a cool video later (when I have the time... so it may be a long while)
Look how tall that goober got!
This guy came home with Nate from the same mission... Crazy right?!
Where did Nate want to go for his first meal in the States? Why Five Guys of course
carpet for the first time in two years
The next day we re-created the picture we took the day before he left
In order for everyone to have a chance to talk to Nathan, Julie decided to have two parties. One the Saturday before his homecoming talk for friends and a lunch after the talk for family. There are really not as much pictures as there should have been but I was really busy. The one below is from the lunch on Sunday
 all the cousins-once-removed!
Nathan was planking on the couch the following day and as obvious from the picture below... it was a mistake
We are so happy to have him home... especially the kids!
